Keith is running for Alabama House District 55

I am officially announcing my candidacy for the Alabama House of Representatives, District 55, as an independent because our community deserves leadership that answers to people—not political parties.

I am running because too many decisions that affect our daily lives are made without real accountability, transparency, or community input. Families are feeling the pressure of rising costs, communities are asking for real public safety solutions, and too often politics offers talk without action. District 55 deserves a representative who listens, shows up, and works across lines to deliver results—not excuses.

My campaign is centered on three core priorities:

Public Safety that Builds Trust
Public safety must be about more than reaction after harm occurs. I support solutions that combine responsible law enforcement with prevention, mental health support, youth engagement, and community trust. So people feel safe enough to stay, rather than being forced to flee.

Education and Economic Opportunity
Strong schools and real economic opportunity are essential to the future of District 55. I will advocate for fair education funding, workforce development, and support for small businesses so families can thrive and young people can see a future right here at home.

Accountability, Transparency, and Independent Leadership
I believe government works best when it is open, honest, and accountable to the people it serves. As an independent, I am not bound by party pressure or partisan agendas. My responsibility is to the residents of District 55—period.

This campaign is also about making history. Alabama has not elected an independent to the State House since 1983. Together, we have the opportunity to change that—not for symbolism, but to prove that principled, people-centered leadership can still win.

This campaign is about action. It’s about accountability. And it’s about putting people first.
