Early Life

Born on April 25, 1974, in Birmingham, Alabama, Keith Oscar Williams is a dynamic individual whose life story is marked by creativity, service, and a deep commitment to his community. As the third of five children in a family led by Albert Williams Sr., a fabricator, and Dorothy Leon Hampton, a devoted homemaker, Keith learned the values of hard work and perseverance from an early age.

Education

After graduating from A.H. Parker High School in 1992, Keith pursued higher education at Alabama State University, Miles College, and Liberty University from 2005 to 2009. His quest for knowledge didn’t stop there; he also earned several religious degrees from Grace and Truth Bible Institute between 2011 and 2013, reflecting his dedication to spiritual growth and understanding.

Keith’s service to his country began in the late 1990s when he joined the U.S. Army, participating in the Gulf War campaign at Fort McClellan, Alabama. This experience not only shaped his character but also ignited a passion for community service that would define his future endeavors.

Career

In 1998, Keith founded Greater Works Business Services, marking the start of his entrepreneurial journey. He later established Great I Am Ministries Outreach International in 2003 and launched the internet radio station OBS in 2007, showcasing his commitment to uplifting others through various platforms.



Community Service

Keith’s commitment to his community is evident through his active participation in local politics and organizations. He ran for District 6 City Council in Birmingham in 2017, with additional campaigns in 2019 and 2021. His dedication to civic engagement is further highlighted by his election as Vice President of the North Titusville Neighborhood Association in 2018 and his involvement with groups like Our Revolution Birmingham and Alabama Arise.



Personal Life

Today, Keith resides in Birmingham, where he continues to make an impact as a minister, writer, activist, and entrepreneur. After a 15-year marriage to Sheona Tibbs, which ended in divorce in 2016, he has focused on personal growth and professional development. Recently certified as a counseling practitioner and professional life coach, Keith is in the process of establishing his practice, Keith O. Williams & Associates, aimed at helping others navigate their life journeys.

As an associate minister at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Keith remains dedicated to serving his community and inspiring those around him. His life is a testament to the power of perseverance, creativity, and the belief that one person can make a significant difference in the world.
